My name is Sinead and I run Cockleshell, a Lifestyle and Gifting Business.I live on the river in Crosshaven village I originally hail from West Cork. I named my business with a nod to local Crosshaven history. Where the 'La Scala'  arcade now stands in the village was once the 'Cockleshell Hall' . The significance of blending the new with the old was special to me in considering the store name. 

Having spent many years working in Marketing and Business, I spotted a niche in the local market for a place for locals to shop for unique items for themselves, their homes and as gifts and Cockleshell was born. Cockleshell is a lifestyle concept store selling a carefully curated range of products across several categories such as gifts, clothing, jewellery, home, art and leather goods. The emphasis is always on quality first, followed by the unique attributes a product has to offer. 

I would  like for you, the consumer, to consider me as your personal lifestyle scout. I am passionate about discovering treasures you won't easily find just anywhere. I like to say that I research the products and put them all in one place so you don't need to spend hours trawling various sites!

I adore style, whether it's to wear or for my home. It's my real passion in life. I believe in quality over quantity across my own personal wardrobe and in my home. My leather bags are all made in Italy. I stock a capsule clothing selection, all made in Italy. My aim is to stock timeless pieces that you can build upon, in neutral colours and beautiful fabrics, that won't go out of style.The jewellery I stock is handmade in Italy by Duestelle Italia.

I also stock a range of customised products designed uniquely by, and for me, such as Crosshaven T Shirts, Crosshaven Road Signs and Crosshaven Mugs.

Obviously, considering the store location, there is a coastal element to Cockleshell. I stock a Coastal Collection of small,  modern coastal style household decorative items. Some truly unique pieces that are not possible to purchase easily elsewhere.

I also stock a variety of products suitable for those who love to spend time by the sea such as Tide Clocks, handmade made in France by Ocean Clock. A range of brightly coloured Fouta and Hammam Towels great for the beach or sauna. Towelling robes from Wave Hawaii and a range of products by Dock and Bay made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. I also stock a range of framed and unframed prints.
